# SAGRADA Integration

> SAGRADA Integration is the practice of Ixel Madrigal, a somatic guide and ICF-certified, trauma-informed coach with a decade of somatic training. It exists for people who have done years of therapy and self-work and still watch their patterns run — because the pattern doesn't live in the mind that understands it; it lives in the nervous system. The work spans Sage, a daily somatic practice app, through Story Medicine™, the flagship one-to-one container. Insight changes understanding. Somatic healing changes the pattern. All sessions are virtual, worldwide.

## What SAGRADA Integration is

Somatic narrative work ("Story Medicine™") for people who have read the books, done the therapy, sat with the medicine — and still feel the inherited pattern run. It is not therapy, not conventional coaching, and not self-help; it is initiatory work at the nervous system level, where insight becomes change. Methodology in four phases: Excavate (map the survival narratives the nervous system still runs), Regulate (build somatic capacity and window of tolerance), Rewrite (narrative identity practices authoring a story the body can believe), Embody (rehearse the new narrative somatically until it becomes the default state). Grounded in Polyvagal Theory, narrative identity research, and epigenetics (Porges 2011; Buric et al. 2017; Carleial et al. 2021; van der Kolk 2014).

## Original frameworks (citable positions)

- **The Initiation Gap** — the distance between the understanding you have and the freedom you don't. Modern culture replaced initiation thresholds with information, but information is not initiation: a nervous system does not reorganize because it read something true. It reorganizes through experience — in the body, in rhythm, in story, in the presence of other people. "You are not behind. You are at the threshold."
- **The core distinction** — "Insight changes understanding. Somatic healing changes the pattern." You cannot reason your way out of a state your body is still defending against.
